The Origin of ChairFund
Having retired from the Hospitality Industry, my time was mine, to do what I want with it, but for good. In the summer of 2025, when out with friends, the subject of donations when they pass came up. Well, that's no fun, why not so it, while you can enjoy it through the gift of giving. So when gaming in such things as playing poker, fantasy football, golfing, I was able to "talk" my friends into donating at least a portion of their winnings to their charity of choice. We had fun and felt good about the experience, even when we lost.
Beyond my past work in events, love of games, for the arts and multi-media, made ChairFund a natural avenue to use those skills and hobbies. My passion for enjoying life and literally having fun in whatever I do, also made the mission statement.
Fun brings people together — but what if it could also bring lasting change? That’s the question that started ChairFund. or me, games, art, and storytelling have always been ways to connect with friends and family. Whether it was golf matches, poker nights, or creative challenges, those moments carried laughter, competition, and memories. I wanted to take that same energy and turn it into something bigger: a way to support causes that matters.
ChairFund is a nonprofit that strives when raising money for charity to be fun through exciting, interactive, and community-driven (not always local) Events. Everyone who joins choses their personal motivated charity of their choice, can play in unique contests and events, and earns points that climb a leaderboard. At the end of the day, those points translate into awareness, fun and real dollars for real causes.
This isn’t about just asking for donations. It’s about creating experiences that people actually want to be part of — painting duels, golf outings, poker events, trivia, and even online storytelling challenges. Every laugh, every friendly rivalry, every story shared adds up to awareness and support for charities across the country.
I like to say ChairFund is where games meet giving.

Our Story
First, ChairFund is a concept, that promotes individuals choosing their charity of passion first. We then created fun, creative events that promotes the mission of Awareness, Fund Raising and Fun. It is a member based organization as the events are not all driven by ChairFund. For example, a school can have an artists challenge that raises money to fund a field trip; no more selling candy with minimal returns.
Sign up and get your friends and family to sign up. Compete against them in competitions and name your prize (that of course is up to you). In the process, you will each choose a charity and hopefully those prizes go to the winners charity of choice.
